Review: Bohol Beach Club in Panglao Island, Bohol

Spent 3 days here this past weekend with my wife. We stayed in the beach front room. The room was okay, everything was a bit dated and older could use a face-lift, that being said it was very clean. Great water pressure with plenty of hot water. Aircon functioned very well.

Check in was easy and hassle free, how ever their welcome drink was a glass of powdered orange drink (great if you are 5 years old but not very classy for a resort). We were told we had a complementary breakfast and port transfers both of which they refused us when we got there. So we ended up spending over P700 each morning for breakfast but found the Dumaluan Beach Resort next door. The have a grill named DBR Grill which is amazing and cheap. They also have a small convenience store where you can get bottled water, juice, beer and spirits at normal prices vs. BBC’s very high prices. They seem to charge extra for everything including WiFi, who charges for WiFi these days?!?

Room service was nearly non existent we had to call for toilet paper while we were there but room service didnt come to our room once. Also there are not safes in the rooms, they do have saftey deposit boxes at the front desk but not large enough for camera or laptop. The room doors do not have a deadbolt lock, security also seemed non existent they had a gaurd at the gate and one at the end of the beach but that was it (though it did feel very safe there).

I would return and stay there again but I would bring in more snacks and visit DBR grill for lunch and dinner (their blue marlin is awesome!!) if you do that it can be a reasonably priced trip.

My Review: AVERAGE
(atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing, but service needs improvement)
